About Us

I've been into mountain biking, adventuring, hiking and generally the whole outdoors for many years now, riding and hiking all over the UK and world. When my border terrier Woody came into our lives 2 years ago, I found myself with the best companion to adventure with. We have since explored the Brecons, Aviemore, Dartmoor, climbed Ben Nevis, hiked Wuan Fach and biked the Peak District. He also is the greatest company when camping in the wilderness.

This is where my idea for Trail Dogs began - I needed to keep my best buddy Woody safe, secure and comfortable while we conquered all of our adventures. I found myself constantly shopping around for the perfect harnesses, collars and all the necessary gear that would be durable enough for Woody to run wild and to keep him warm and safe. I realised that there were many adventure lovers and their dogs who had the same struggle and decided to fill that gap in the market.

The best of times…

There is something special about getting that outdoor cardio high and sharing it with our loyal companions…it’s symbiosis at it’s purest…

I was introduced to Canicross in 2015 so I could race with Boo… We quickly developed a new connection…it was if the physical connection (harness to harness) brought us closer together… We ran as one. It’s an amazing feeling… Boo is now 12 and too old to run ☹…but she is really good for her age (she gets lots of compliments). I know it’s because she was an athlete when she was younger… My focus is still on her health (as well as my own). I only feed her high-quality food, the right supplements and she still gets plenty of exercise… The team at Trail Dogs love helping others get fit and have fun with their furry friends…
